This digital conversion is a real pain.
We purchased a DTA1030D and new rabbit ears.
The most annoying feature is the continuous buzz that increases as we turn up the volume to hear the program over the buzz!
We also find that we can no longer sit still and change channels. Each channel requires a re-positioning of the rabbit ears, sometimes in very precarious places.

Piece of crap. Just hooked it up, and like several others above, there is no sound, just noise. If I use the RCA’s the noise goes away, but I have to have my tv and the box at nearly full volume to hear anything.

I bought two of these converters and they worked great for one year only and then both of them died at the same time and I had the problem of the converter box being so warm to the touch that I thought it was a fire hazard. Now I have two good t.v.’s that I cannot use and I refuse to buy another piece of junk HD Converter boxes. What a scam this has turned out to be and now when I have some money will have to invest in a t.v. I did purchase a Prism digital 7 inch t.v. for my office and I just love it, got it through e-bay and guess I will just have to look for another bargain.
What a shame that all of us who do not have the money to buy the newer digital t.v.’s have no access to our t.v.’s that worked just great before this.

Worked well for 1.5 years then just died. No way to contact the company. The number and website contained on the box are of no use. The part that sucks is that I had to pay an additional $22 because the $40 coupon didn’t cover the full amount. Someone’s bright idea is just useless. My tv worked just fine before the digital conversion.
